"Jesus Walked On In"
About forty miles west of Nashville, TN, there is a gospel quartet group known as The Dynamic Dixie Travelers. Mr. Harry Holt (deceased) and Mr. Morris Pollard (deceased) was the original member who organized the Dixie's in 1957, in Dickson, TN.
In the late seventies and early eighties the group recorded for Nashboro Records, located in Nashville, TN. Mr. Shannon Williams, producer released songs such as "Surely God's Able" "Got to Be Some Rain in Your" life and " If You've Got a Problem". Nashboro Records discontinued their gospel division around 1980.
In 1981, Mr. Ted Jarrett, owner of T-Jaye Records, signed the group to a recording contract. Mr. Jarrett was previously known as a secular producer and song writer. After signing with T-Jay Records, Mr. Jarrett, became the group's primary writer and producer.
So much to be thankful for The Lord will find a way Save a seat for me God will provide
Peace in the world Work ‘til the day is done Thank Him Best to the Dynamic Dixie Travelers, Live in Concert Jesus will never leave you alone The Lord will make a way out of no way
In addition to recording, the Dixie's perform in every major city across the country. They have performed with many professional gospel singers. They appeared on a variety of TV shows such as, Bobby Jones Gospel, Dewitt Johnson Show, Nashville Gospel Show, John Patterson Gospel Unlimited and appeared at other TV venues in Chicago, Holly Springs Mississippi and Augusta, Georgia, to name a few.
The Dixie's style has truly taken on a new blend. Some say its contemporary and others say it's traditional. We say its "good old toe tapping gospel music". Whatever it is we know it's anointed. If you like the Dynamic Dixie Travelers music on record, then you need to hear their new CD. Their NEW CD was produced by Ed Russell and is on the CASTLE Records label out of Nashville, TN. It is distributed internationally by Central South Distributing, also from Nashville. The CD contains 12 songs and is already performing well on the CASHBOX Looking Ahead chart and the Americana Chart
