Missy Garnett Bio

Born and raised in the small town of Mattoon, Illinois, Missy Garnett aspired to performing at a very young age, watching her father's performances with his country band, "Roy Linder and the Country Company" throughout East Central Illinois. Having watched her older sister sing on stage with her father, only enhanced her desire to sing for a live audience.

Missy has since performed in school musicals, talent shows, national vocal competitions, local fairs & festivals, and has recently performed on nation wide television. She also worked for a small market Country radio station for nearly four years as an on-air personality and promotions director, in the hopes of gaining new knowledge about the music industry.

Missy has opened for such artists as Cyndi Thompson, Gary Alien, Keith Urban, Diamond Rio, Trace Adkins, The Buckingham's, The Kentucky Headhunter's, Aaron Tippin, and Trace Adkins.

After recording her first demo CD in Nashville, TN. with "Whispering" Bill Andersen's recording engineer, Missy moved to Nashville and has performed on various Nashville stages, including Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, The Second Fiddle, The Cadillac Ranch, The Hotel Preston, John A's, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, as well as The Nashville Palace.

Missy is pursuing a record deal with a reputable record label and is being produced by Ed Russell for Castle Records, Nashville
